May is a busy time for any keen gardener and is certainly a busy time when the garden is Cholmondeley Castle Gardens.

This month we have been concentrating on pruning, weeding, thinning and also the planting of a Hosta collection in selected garden areas.

May is a time to dead head roses and cutting back early flowering perennials to get a second flush of flowers.

If visiting the gardens this month the Folly Garden is a particular highlight – pictures below!
