Walking with Champions Guided Tree Tour – Wednesday 27th September – Join Head Gardener, Barry Grain, on an in-depth guided tour of Cholmondeley’s Campion Trees. During this 90-minute tour you will visit over 25 trees, some over 200 years old, and each with their own rich history. Trees will include our Giant Redwood, Lebanese Cedar, Eucalyptus Tree, Lucombe Oak and more. Book here

Autumn Festival – Sunday 29th October – Back, bigger and better than ever before is the Cholmondeley Autumn Festival. Join us on our last open day of 2023 with a celebration of all things autumn. Follow the carved pumpkin trail map around the Gardens, roast your own marshmallow, help press and then enjoy a glass of juice from apples grown in the Cholmondeley Orchard, get competitive and have a game of conkers, create an autumn leaf collage and more.
New for this year! Chester University’s BioBlitz will be here with a whole host of activities including insect discovery pots, wild bird identification and recorders, owl pellet dissection plus lots more wildlife-based crafting activities.
