Mothering Sunday – 10th March Join us for the reawakening of Cholmondeley Castle Gardens in all its springtime glory. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the kaleidoscope of early flowering Camellias, Hellebores, Daphnes and Scilla.  Free hand-tied posy of daffodils for all women attending. Visit the Tea Rooms with all new surroundings, menu and ambience. Book here 

Late Winter Guided Tree Tour – Wednesday 12th March – 12-1.30pm. Join our Head Gardener, Barry Grain, for an appreciative tour of our champion trees in skeletal form and learn how to ID them. Book here 

Daffodil Spectacular – Sunday 24th March – Follow Wordsworth’s words as you meander through the million Daffodil meadows. Book here

Easter Saturday – 30th March – On this day you have the option of joining Head Gardener Barry Grain on an in-depth guided tour which takes in the seasonal highlights and history of the Gardens. Book here 

Easter Sunday Family Fun Bunny Trail – Sunday 31st March – Find the hidden bunnies and solve the riddles to win an Easter prize. Visit the animals where you can hold, pet, feed, learn about and see meerkats, owls, snakes, tarantulas, rabbits, scorpions, guinea pigs, reptiles, giant snails, plus birds of prey demonstrations. New for 2024! Beat the Easter Bunny…put on the bunny ears and hop, skip, jump and race with your egg and spoon to see if you can beat the Bunny! Book here 


Half Term Fun – Wednesday 3rd AprilKids Mini-Beasts & Nature Tour – Join Kate on an adventure of discovery where they will delve into the flora and fauna, nature and habitats of the mini-beasts that call the Gardens home. Every child tour ticket includes a bug hunting kit to use on the tour and take home.  £5 per child, 12 places maximum. Book here

Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival – Sunday 14th April –   Join us in the Temple Water Garden under the largest of our Cherry Blossom Trees in full bloom for our first ever Cherry Blossom Festival. Traditional Japanese music, singing and Taiko drum performances on the Temple Islands. Enjoy a traditional tea ceremony, sake tasting sessions, calligraphy displays, ‘make and take’ origami and the Japanese Tonbo Kitchen for a range of delicious Japanese food. Spring Plant Fair – Sunday 28thApril is just the right time to pick up some spring plants and bulbs to perk up your beds and borders to fill your garden with colour. Almost half price entry. Book here


NGS National Garden Scheme – Thursday 2nd May – All Garden admission proceeds on this day go to the National Garden Scheme who raise money for nursing and health charities. Book here 

Million Bluebell Woodlands – Bank holiday Sunday 5th  Take a trip up Tower Hill on this bank holiday where swathes of millions of bluebells are in full bloom. Reach the top for an incredible vista of the Cheshire plains. Book here
