Tree Safety During Hot Weather
During periods of very hot, calm weather, mature trees can occasionally shed branches without warning. This is a rare natural occurrence known as Summer Branch Drop.
For your safety, please:
– Avoid sitting, picnicking or lingering directly beneath large tree branches.
– Remain aware of your surroundings when walking through wooded areas.
– If you hear cracking sounds or notice movement overhead, move away immediately.
